Oma Lee Click Waters Eagle stepped into heaven on December 10, 2023, at the age of 90.
She was born on November 19, 1933, in Davie County to Orion Michael Click Sr. and Pearl Crawford Click.
Mrs. Eagle was a graduate of Rowan Nursing School in 1955. She worked as a Registered Nurse at many places throughout her 50-year career such as Wesley Long Hospital in Greensboro, Davie County Hospital, Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Augusta GA, Richmond County Health Department, and the Rowan County Health Department where she retired. She was also a member of Coburn Memorial United Methodist Church and attended St. John’s Lutheran Church. She had a strong relationship with the lord which gave her the strength to be an excellent mother who loved not only her own children, but everyone she encountered.
Oma Lee was preceded in death by her first husband Robert E. Waters; second husband Carpenter L. Eagle; and her sister Hilda Yates.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons Robert N. Waters (Annette) in Augusta, GA; James M. Waters (Lizette) in Parker, CO; Charles M. Waters (Laura) in Augusta, GA; her daughters Missie Weaver (Brian) in Salisbury, NC; Lisa Eagle Shuping in Salisbury, NC; and Laura Leigh Eagle in Salisbury, NC; her brother Orion Michael Click, Jr. (Brenda) in Charlotte, NC; and her sister Louise Rogers in Denton, NC; her 11 grandchildren and her 5 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:30 pm Saturday December 16, 2023, in the chapel of Trinity Oaks, 820 Klumac Rd, Salisbury, NC 28144 (up the hill) conducted by Kenneth Rogers and James Waters. The burial will be at Rowan Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorials made to the Greensboro Youth for Christ, c/o Aaron Brewer, P.O. Box 516, Greensboro, NC 27402.
