On Thursday, February 11, 2021 Patricia “Garnette” Kluttz, 72, spread her wings and flew to her heavenly home at the Glenn A. Kiser hospice house in Salisbury, NC.
Born August 10, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Fannie Lyerly. She is also preceded in death by brother, Bob Lyerly, and grandchildren, Lucy Beth and Alan.
She is survived by her husband and soul mate of 53 years, Bill Kluttz; Children Richard “Ricky” Kluttz and wife Carla and Sherry Moore; grandchildren Laurie Moore (Richard), Heather Barnhardt (Terry), Adam Moore (Taylor), Benjamen Kluttz (Emily), Nicholas Kluttz, Victoria Moore (Austin); great grandchildren, Adalyn Moore, Reid Moore and Barrett Kluttz; brother Michael Lyerly and an abundance of well loved cousins, nephews, nieces, in-laws, and close friends.
Although Garnette was a skilled homemaker, her favorite titles were “Wife”, “Momma”, “Mawmaw”, and “Great Mawmaw”. Her pride and joy was her family. She was well known for her passion for canning and preserving her and Bill’s yearly summer garden. If you could pick it, she could can it. This was a labor of love that she did every year, without fail. She would graciously share her canned vegetables with whoever needed or wanted it.
Her visitation will be held Saturday, February 13 at 1:00 PM at Ebenezer UMC in Mount Ulla, NC in the fellowship hall. Service will be held the same day at 2:00 PM at Ebenezer UMC. Memorials may be made to the Ebenezer UMC building fund.
Lyerly Funeral Home is serving the Kluttz family. Online condolences may be made at www.lyerlyfuneralhome.com.
