Patricia Ann Spangler

Patricia Ann Spangler passed away on July 11, 2024, at the age of 70.

She was born on December 25, 1953, to the late Eldridge and Bettie Carrier.

Patricia was a homemaker. She enjoyed a good laugh and had a fun outgoing personality. She took life in stride and never complained. She trusted in the Lord that all things would work out for his good. She loved singing, dancing, bird watching, gardening, and enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter Wendy Spangler and her granddaughter Amanda Bobbitt. Along with her sisters Madeline O'Neil, Ellen Rose, Donna Kay Carrier.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband John Spangler of 53 years of Gold Hill, NC; her 6 children Charlotte (Mark) Orr of Canton, GA, Loretta Payne of Tarpon Springs, FL, Lisa (Kyle) Poliseo of Chesterfield, VA, Daniel (Jennifer) Spangler of Richmond, VA, David Spangler of Richmond, VA, and John Spangler of Gold Hill, NC; her 8 grandchildren (Mariah, Matt, Austin, Patrick, Brian, Ashlyn, Blake, Ethan) and her 5 great-grandchildren (Vanessa, Dillion, Elias, Amelia, Elsie); Stepson Arlin (Brenda) Hanbury of Chesapeake, VA.  Along with several siblings (Betty Scott, Tommy and Bubba Carrier)

2 Timothy 4:7-8

7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
