Patt (Swicegood) Heard

Patt Swicegood Heard, 76, of Salisbury passed away on Friday, June 30, 2023 at Novant Health Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House.

Born in Statesville, NC on May 3, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Ethel Moss Swicegood and Paul Eugene Swicegood.

Mrs. Heard received a degree in child psychology from Rowan Tech and worked as a technician at Hersey Meters/Mueller Systems.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Ronnie Swicegood and Gerald Swicegood; sister, Judith Phillips; son, Gerry Lynn Livengood.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Steven Heard, whom she married on April 22, 1988; daughter, Robin Stamey; step sons, Joshua Heard and Judson Heard; brothers, Randall Swicegood and wife Robin Swicegood, James “Jimmy” Swicegood and wife Johnnie Lynn Swicegood; granddaughter, Katlyn Williams and husband Josh Williams; great-grandsons, Waylon Williams and Harlan Williams.

Service: 3:00 PM Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at Freedom Baptist Church, 214 Hillcrest Court, Lexington, NC 27292 with Preacher Clyde Akers officiating.
