Paula (Young) Kafitz

Paula Young Kafitz, 75, of Salisbury passed away Tuesday April 6, 2021 at the Novant Health Glenn A. Kiser Hopice House in Salisbury.

Born in Asheville, NC on September 5, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Estelle Ruff Young and the late Hyman Young, Sr.

Paula worked as a Dental Assistant, Teacher Assistant and a small business owner and was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Dennis Kafitz, Sr. on September 27, 2020.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons; Tim Kafitz (Stephanie) of Salisbury, David Dennis Kafitz, Jr. of Columbia, SC; sister, Lou Ellen Decell of Lexington, SC; grandchildren, Christopher Kafitz, Brandon Kafitz, Emma Kafitz and Kate Kafitz.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday April 10, 2021 at 2:00 PM at St. John’s Lutheran Church 200 W. Innes Street, Salisbury, NC  28144, with Pastor Laura Henrik officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service.   Burial will be at a later date at the Salisbury National Cemetery.
