Peggy Almond Collins, 78, of Salisbury passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at her residence.
Born on October 20, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Rosa Bell Page and Claude Eugene Almond.
Peggy retired as a seamstress at Norman’s of Salisbury. She enjoyed spending time with her dear friend, Betty and she loved to dance and never met a stranger. She had a hobby of collecting frog figurines. She was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Collins and brother, Ralph Almond.
Left to cherish her memory are her sister, Virginia A. “Eloise” Blackwell of Salisbury; step-children, Barbara Hupp (Charles) and Johnnie Rae Smith (Patty); step-grandchildren, Johnathan Hupp, T.J. Hupp (Tara), and Brittany Walker (Bailey); step-great grandchildren, Charley and Lilah and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside Service: 1:30 PM Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Rowan Memorial Park, 4125 Franklin Community Center Rd., Salisbury, NC 28144 with the Rev. Steve Holshouser officiating.
