Rebecca “Becky” Ennis Bassinger, 73, of Salisbury, passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Novant Health Kiser Hospice House.
Born in Rowan County on August 24, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Madeline Lyerly Ennis and James Edward Ennis.
Becky was a 1968 graduate of East Rowan High School. She worked for American & Efird for 33 years before retiring from First Presbyterian Church. She attended Providence United Methodist Church. Becky enjoyed going to her painting classes and spending time with her circle of friends. She enjoyed going to her grandchildren’s sporting events, they were her pride and joy. She liked working in her yard and spending time with her three dogs over the years, Snoopy, Lucy, and Mattie.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Charlie Edward Ennis and sister, Annie Lois Ennis.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Kevin Ennis (Kari), grandchildren, Allison and Ashlee Ennis, several nephews and a niece.
The family will have a private celebration of life service at a later date.
