Ricky Ray Brown

Ricky Ray Brown, 58, of Lexington passed away on Monday, February 1, 2021 at the W.G. Bill Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury.

Born in Welch, WV on June 30, 1962, he was the son of the late Carol Sue Lester and Jimmy Ray Brown.

A veteran of the US Navy, Ricky worked as a truck driver. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Left to cherish his memory are his son, Brandon Goins of Mt. Airy, NC; daughters, Savanna Bright (David) of Navarre, FL, Andrea Booth (Nick) of Walnut Cove, NC, and Cassie Cline (Jason) of WV; brothers, Rocky Brown (Keli) of King George, VA and Tony Brown of Lexington; sisters, Susan Danielson (Bruce) of Grinnell, IA and Sabrena Davis (Steve) of New Sharon, IA; ten grandchildren, four granddogs and a brother from another mother, Jay Minten.

Visitation: 4:00-5:00 PM Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Calvary Baptist Tabernacle, 3760 Stokes Ferry Rd, Salisbury, NC 28146.

Service: 5:00 PM Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Calvary Baptist Tabernacle with the Rev. Dr. Steve Holshouser officiating.

Burial: 10:00 AM Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Salisbury National Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Lyerly Volunteer Joint Services Honor Guard.
