Robert Lee Cranfield

Robert Lee Cranfield, 95, of Salisbury passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.

Born in Rowan County on July 31, 1925, he was the son of the late Lizzy Jane Winecoff and William Franklin Cranfield.

Robert worked as a plumber and was a founding member of Westside Baptist Church, where he was a deacon.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Elizabeth Messick Cranfield; son, Carl Maston Messick; daughter, Lillie Charlene Manning.

Left to cherish his memory are his son, David Cranfield (Donna) of Salisbury; daughters, Linda Messick Fitch (Larry) of Mocksville and Diane Cranfield Massey (late Maurice); daughter-in-law, Linda Jo Messick (late Carl Messick);16 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Visitation: 12:45 PM Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Westside Baptist Church, 201 Clancy St., Salisbury, NC 28147.

Service: 2:00 PM Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Westside Baptist Church with Brother Joel Hiatt officiating. Burial will follow at Rowan Memorial Park.
