God allowed Robert Douglas Ennis to rest peacefully after an ongoing period of declining health on December 22, 2025, at the age of 62.
He was born on January 12, 1963, in Rowan County to Bobby R. and Loretta Ennis.
Robert was a 1981 graduate of East Rowan High School. He obtained his associate’s degree in electrical engineering from Rowan- Cabarrus Community College. He enjoyed showcasing his creativity through his artwork. He also enjoyed watching football and was a Panther’s fan. Robert derived joy from comedy and making others laugh.
In addition to his parents, those left to cherish his memory are his son Noah Matthew Ennis; sister Carrie Ennis Boss (husband Keith); nephews Bennett Hough and Connor Hough; aunt Karen Lincoln; uncle John Bulla; and cousin Janie Bulla.
A service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday January 4, 2026, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 910 S Main St, Salisbury, NC 28144.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorials to be made to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.
