Robert Moon

Robert Moon passed away on February 6, 2026, at the age of 84.

He was born on May 21, 1941, in Petersburg, NY to the late Arthur Moon and Ethel Saunders.

Robert's life's work was found in the seat of a cab, where he spent decades as a dedicated operator.

Beyond his work, Robert found great strength as a member of Ebenezer Church of Mt. Ulla.

Robert's hands were rarely still; he spent countless hours restoring old tractors and working alongside his beloved draft horses. 

His appreciation for tradition extended to antique horse-drawn equipment. But above all else, Robert's greatest devotion was to his family, whom he loved deeply.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his five siblings; his first wife Jane Moon; and his son Bob Moon.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Doris Moon; daughters Susan Archer and Melissa Nieves; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as many extended family and loved ones.

A visitation will be held from 2:00 – 3:00 pm on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Ebenezer Church of Mt. Ulla, 8425 NC-801, Mt Ulla, NC 28125. A celebration of life will follow at 3:00 pm. 

Another celebration of life will be held at Arlington House 3532 NY 43 West Sand Lake, NY 12196 from 2:00-6:00 pm on Saturday, February 21, 2026.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Heart Association (PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692) or the Lung Association (55 W. Wacker Drive, Suite 1150, Chicago, IL 60601-1796).
