Ronnie Dean Shehan

Ronnie Dean Shehan, 63, of Salisbury passed away peacefully at the Laurels of Salisbury on Thursday, April 23, 2026.

Born in Cabarrus County on June 19, 1962, he was the son of the late James Everett and Ruth Dennis Shehan.

Mr. Shehan attended West Rowan High School and worked alongside his father and brother at Shehan Construction. He knew Jesus as his Savior and loved Star Trek.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Renae B. Shehan; parents, James and Ruth Shehan; mother-in-law, Sandra Boardman.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, James and Rockie Shehan of Salisbury and Sandie Shehan of Spencer; sister, Donna Thomason and husband Kenneth of Honea Path, SC; brother, Doug Shehan of Salisbury; grandchildren, Cameron Shehan, Alex Gillespie, Hunter Treece, Landen Shehan, Addison Ennis, and Maddox Cray.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Laurels of Salisbury, especially Tasha Houston.

A celebration of life will be held from 2:00-4:30 pm on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at City Park Recreation Center, 316 Lake Dr, Salisbury, NC 28144. Eulogy will be delivered at 2:30, with food and fellowship to follow.
