Ruby Hoffner Honeycutt, 93, of China Grove, passed away surrounded by her loved ones on Monday, December 13, 2021 at her home.
Born in Rowan County on July 8, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Sarah Emma Hoffner and granddaughter of the late Joseph and Sarah Hoffner. She was a longtime member of St. Matthew’s Church.
She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She had a heart of gold. She was employed as a textile worker and graduated from Rockwell High School.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Don R. Honeycutt and brothers Roy Hoffner, Baxter, Melvin, and Foy Lookabill.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Buddy Edwards (Lewellen), Donna Griffin (Dean), Rob Honeycutt (Lauren), Kay Hammill (Allen), and Todd Honeycutt; sisters, Lorie Huffman, Mary Williams, and Frances Eller; grandchildren, Sarah Powers (Craig), Stuart Perkins (Kim), Anna Auerbach (Adam), Mitchell Honeycutt, Riley Honeycutt, Ashli Honeycutt, and Candace Honeycutt; great-grandchildren, Lane, Ella, Alec, and Axel.
Visitation: 11:00-12:00 PM Friday, December 17, 2021 at the Rowan Memorial Park Chapel in the Pines, 4125 Franklin Community Center Rd, Salisbury, NC 28144.
Graveside Service: 12:00 PM Friday, December 17, 2021 at Rowan Memorial Park.
