Sandra Carter Obituary

Sandra Wise Carter was born March 17, 1940. She was born in Salisbury, North Carolina in Rowan County. She attended Rowan High School.

She lived a wonderful life and brought joy to all who knew her. She had a Servant’s heart and was always doing good deeds for anyone who came into contact with her. After retirement, she moved back to Salisbury from Georgia where she moved back into her home place “Twin Oaks” where she loved being close to nature. This is where she wanted to live out her golden years.

She was an avid piano player and played at Salem Lutheran Church for several years. She also participated in the choir.  In 2020, Sandra‘s health declined and she became bedridden. She spent her remaining years unable to walk and enjoy her beautiful property. The quality of life quickly declined toward the end of 2025, until her death this January 15th, 2026. It was her wishes to stay in her home where she was raised, and this is where she wanted to die.  We will miss her terribly.

She’s proceeded in death by her Father John Ritchie Wise, Mother Creola K Wise, Brother Jerry Wise, Sister-in-law, Sandy Wise, and her Son Frank M. Carter.

She leaves behind a Son, Tony R Harris, and his wife Karen P Harris of Salisbury NC. Daughter Charlotte M Hnath and her Husband James D Hnath of Loganville, Georgia.  Son Lance F. Carter of Salisbury NC. Brother Ronnie Wise of Knightdale NC. Nephew Wes Wise and his Wife Michelle of Clemons NC. Niece Reagan Wise and Husband David Millsap of Raleigh NC. Niece Suzanne Wise of Poway, California, Niece Tanya Wise of Poway California and Sister-in-law, Linda Wise of Poway California. Grandchildren, Christy McCullough and her husband Simon McCullough of Monroe, Georgia. Andrew Hnath and his wife Jenn Hnath of Loganville, Georgia. Cara Harris of New Meadows, Idaho, and Josh Harris and wife Ashley of Boise, Idaho. She was blessed to have nine Great grandchildren who adored her they will miss her terribly.

Although she is no longer here with us, we take solace in knowing that she is with our Lord and Savior, and all of those who have gone before us. She’s running the streets of gold, singing, and walking in fields of flowers. We know one day we will all be together again.
