Sarah Ruth (Sain) Holshouser

Sarah Ruth Sain Holshouser passed away at home on February 14, 2025, at the age of 80.

She was born on December 16, 1944, in Davie County to the late John Denton Sain and Mary Frances Beam Sain.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Bobby Lee (Prune) Holshouser and her sister Helen Walton.

Left to cherish her memory are her two brothers John Sain (Kathy) and William Sain (Becky) of Salisbury; sisters Flora Messer (Charles) of Elgin, SC and Mary Talbert of Sailsbury; brother-in-law Herman Walton of Salisbury; nephew Charles Messer Jr with whom she made her home; and other nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

A service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday February 27, 2025, at the Providence Baptist Church, 620 Andrews St, Salisbury, NC 28144. A burial will follow at 12:30 pm at the Salisbury National Cemetery, 501 Statesville Blvd, Salisbury, NC 28144, conducted by Rev. Sy Ponds.
