Sgt. Thomas King Obituary

Sgt. Thomas “Richard” King was born April 23, 1946. He was the oldest of nine children born to Reva Joyce King: Larry “Michael” King, Tony King, Eddie “Steven” King, Sheila King, Sherry King, Linda “Gail” King, Randy “Darrel” King, and Danny King.

He served in the US Army from 1965-1967, and then from 1970-1990. He later retired from Belk’s as well. He was a proud father of his children George King, Charles King, and Margot King. The joy of his life was his granddaughter Maggie King. He loved old movies, his guns, traveling to museums, and spending time with family.

Graveside Service: 9:00 am Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Salisbury National Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Lyerly Joint Services Volunteer Honor Guard.
