Shirley Ann (Myers) Harris

Shirley Ann Myers Harris passed away at the Rowan Medical Center on February 19, 2025, at the age of 86.

She was born on June 23, 1938, in Rowan County to the late Leo P. Myers and Helen Goode Melton.

Shirley attended Boyden High School. She worked at Laguna Sports Ware and eventually retired from the Beaming Department of Celanese. She was a member of the Lifeway Church. Shirley loved gardening and liked to travel, especially to the beach.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son Timothy Harris (9-4-2012); brothers Donald Myers, Bobby Melton, and Billy Melton; and grandson Morgan Harris.

Left to cherish her memory are her son Lowell Davis “Buster” Harris Jr (Cindy) of Granite Quarry; daughter Jatana Feimster of Salisbury; sister Jan Criswell (Bob) of PA; brother Buddy Melton (Sharon) of Spartanburg; grandchildren Andy Harris (Crystal) of Mocksville and Heather Baxter (Nick) of Salisbury; 6 great grandchildren; and Buddy the cat.

A visitation will be held 12:30-1:30pm pm Wednesday February 26, 2025, at the Lifeway Church, 5075 U.S. Hwy, US-601, Salisbury, NC 28147. A service will be held at 2:00 pm with Rev. Danny Dillard officiating. The burial will follow at Chestnut Hill Cemetery, 1134 S Main St, Salisbury, NC 28144.
