Stephen Aaron Stancil, 71, of Landis passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Tucker Hospice House.
Born in Cabarrus County on September 4, 1950, he was the son of the late Ethel Wagoner and Murray Stancil (Bud).
Mr. Stancil worked as a truck driver and attended St. Paul’s Wesleyan Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Judy Stancil; sons, Craig Stancil of China Grove, Matthew Stokesberry (Rene) of Huntsville, AL, Charlie Stokesberry IV (Crystal) of Enigma, GA, and Jeremy Stokesberry of FL; daughter, Candie Sanchez of York, SC; sisters, Pam Purvis of China Grove and Jan Pethel of Supply, NC; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Graveside Service: 4:00 PM Saturday, November 13, 2021 at St. Paul’s Wesleyan Church Cemetery, 18750 Old Beatty Ford Rd, Gold Hill, NC 28071 with the Rev. Carl Fosdick officiating.
