Steve Weatherford

Steve Weatherford, 68, of Cleveland passed away on Monday November 6, 2023, at his home.

Steve was the son of Ann Weatherford and the late WJ Weatherford, Sr. He graduated from Boyden High School in 1973. He went to work at Walt Disney World in the Watercraft Dept, then he returned home and worked for the City of Salisbury until he retired.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Melinda Rogers Weatherford; his grandmother, Virginia Poole; his father, WJ Weatherford, Sr.; his daughter, Shanna Weatherford; and his sister, Billie Julian.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy Readling Weatherford; his mother, Ann Weatherford; his daughter, Nikki Weatherford; his brother, WJ “Bill” Weatherford, Jr.; his sisters, Jane Bulla, Judy Talbert, Marilyn Birch, and Kathy Teodorovici; his grandson, Dash Dixon; bonus sons Shane Graham and Derek Graham; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and his special grandchildren McKenzie, Cooper, Blake, and Chev.

He loved sailing, regattas, and he cherished his time at the beach with his wife and friends. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and loved ones.

Visitation will be held from 11:00-12:00 on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Milford Hills United Methodist Church, 1630 Statesville Blvd, Salisbury, NC 28144. The celebration of life will begin at noon with the Rev. Jim Parsons officiating.
