Sybil Kay (Kimble) Rummage

Sybil Kay Kimble Rummage, 74, of Spencer, passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.

Born in Rowan County on November 5, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Mary Elizabeth Beck and Elmer Kimble.

Mrs. Rummage was a 1967 graduate of North Rowan High School. She enjoyed the simple life and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She loved Elvis, cooking, and reading. She had a love for animals and spent her time volunteering for the Rowan County Humane Society.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Wayne Rummage and granddaughter, Ivory Lee Hunter.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Sonya Hooker (Toni) and Stacey Hunter; sister, Shelia Raymer; grandchildren, Matthew Hunter and Jacob Hunter; great-granddaughter, Camila Arroyo.

Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 PM on Monday, October 9, 2023 at the Haven Lutheran Church Fellowship Building, 207 W. Harrison St, Salisbury, NC 28144. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations for funeral expenses may be made to Sonya Hooker or to the Rowan County Humane Society.
