Thomas Walser Obituary

Thomas Linn Walser, known to many as "Linn," passed away peacefully in his sleep on the morning of April 28, 2025.

Linn is survived by his loving daughter, Cara, and her nephew Bryson, his beloved grandson. He was preceded in death by his wife Vickie, whose love and spirit remained a guiding force in his life even after her passing and son Cody.

A tribute from his daughter:

My father, Linn Walser, was one of a kind. Though he was no Picasso he was the man behind the brush, painting for me a very colorful childhood. He was a mountain of a man who struck fear in me where it was needed. He taught me to tell the truth and all the typical lessons that fathers teach their little girls, but he also taught me so much more. So many things that I wish I had appreciated then the way that I do now. It’s truly a shame that youth is wasted on the young for now that I'm older I am able to properly cherish the way my father raised me... in the dirt, off the land, on the Carolina coast, over the open ocean, amongst the trees, at the Charlotte Motor Speedway, and back of house. Always working very hard never forgetting to play harder. It should not go without mentioning he would not have been able to do such a great job without his true love, my mother Vickie, by his side. She made him understand what it meant to have your heart walk outside your body.

Though her physical form is gone her spirit continues to shine a light in the darkest corners of this unrelenting world. The two of them are everything I have become, for better or sometimes worse.

For now I remain here in my earthly form sharing with the world the best parts they gave to me in hope that I may make an impact by passing along kindness, compassion, empathy, love, light and a generous portion of f*@! around and find out.

At this time there will be no memorial service held due to the strain of a late stage capitalistic economy on an impoverished middle class. There is a GoFundMe to help cover the cost of cremation and funeral home expenses the link to which can be found on Cara’s Facebook page. In lieu of flowers, the family would happily take groceries sent to their home at 186 Beechwood Dr.
