Vera Lucille Connor Brown

Mrs. Vera Lucille Connor Brown, age 71, of Salisbury, NC, peacefully passed away from this world to join her Heavenly Father, Saturday, June 6, 2020, at Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House.

She was born on January 26, 1949, in Rowan County. She was the daughter of the late Samuel Henry and Carrie Mae Walter Connor.

Vera was preceded in death by her husband, Spencer Herbert Brown of 21 years. As well as Adam Seay Swink with whom she shared a son and a daughter, and Robert Lee Reavis, Sr. with whom she shared a son. Four sisters and brothers-in-law, Peggy Connor Wilson (Dube), Judy Connor Wenger (Don), Doris Jean Connor Goodson (Jim), Elizabeth Connor Beck (RB) and one brother and sister-in-law, Robert Connor (Nancy).

She was last a member of China Grove Christian Assembly but has recently shared her faith and prayer with Preacher Chris Williams of Woodleaf Baptist Church. She loved the Lord with all her heart as well as her children and grandchildren. She was a wonderful mother and cared deeply for other people. Her last occupation was caring for our veterans and the elderly at individual live in care homes.

Vera was survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Katherine Regina and Scott Eric Howell and two sons and daughters-in-law, Franklin Dean Swink (Tamara), Patrick Duard Reavis (Crystal). One brother and sister-in-law, Walter Connor (Pat), 12 grandchildren; Meriah, Taylor, Aaron and Bracken (Reavis); Franklin Jr. and Sam (Swink); Michelle, Justin, and Bobby; Kesha, Rick, and April (Howell); 9 great grandchildren, Chance, Jaxon, Jensen, Haley, Sierra and Isaac; Caden, Chase, and Matthew.

Vera also had many nieces and nephews and extended family members that she dearly loved. She will be greatly missed.

Vera’s daughter Kathy and her husband Scott would like to thank all the wonderful people at the hospice house for their love, kindness and dedication, not only to their mother but for them as well.
