Virginia Leazer Torrence, age 79, passed away on Monday February 12, 2024, at the Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.
She was born on July 23, 1944, in Rowan County to the late George Leazer and Cordie Parks. She worked as a receptionist at Boral Brick. She was also fond of crafts, such as Keepsilks, her floral arrangements and ceramics company.
Virginia was the best mother and grandmother in the world. She was sharp as a whip, and was a ball of love, talent, and support. She would do anything for anybody. She was loyal to the bone, and was such a fun woman, full of joy and passion. She made the best ceramics, cakes, wreaths, and decoration of anyone. She was the most beautiful woman inside and out.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband William (Bill) Torrence, Sr.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons William (Bill) Torrence Jr. and Jon Torrence, both of Salisbury; her daughter, Gina (Wayne) Eller of Rockwell; her grandchildren Curtis Torrence, Hannah Eller, Lindsey Eller, Janie Eller, Peyten Eller, and Luke Eller; and her great-grandchildren Hagen Morgan, Asher Mattingly, Kinley Stiller, and Holland Mattingly.
A visitation will be held from 10:00-10:45 am on Friday February 16, 2024 at the Haven Lutheran Church Fellowship, 207 W Harrison St, Salisbury, NC 28144. A service will follow at 11:00 am at the Chestnut Hill Cemetery, 1134 S Main St, Salisbury, NC 28144. Officiating will be Rev. Gene Beaver.
