Virginia (Hancock) Williams

Virginia Hancock Williams, 95, of Salisbury passed away on Friday, December 24, 2021 at her residence.

Born in Halifax, VA on March 31, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Dillard M. Hancock and Ella Dudley Hancock.

Ms. Williams worked at Cone Mills and Rowan Mills. She loved music, singing, and played a number of instruments. She also loved her dogs, Cocoa and Spot.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Washington Williams; daughter, Linda Gayle Houston; daughter-in-law, Phyllis Williams; sons, Tony Williams and Roger Williams. She was the last surviving of five siblings.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, James E. Williams of Concord, Arthur F. Williams of Salisbury, and David E. Williams (Rhonda) of Statesville; 19 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 22 great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside Service: 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Rowan Memorial Park, 4125 Franklin Community Center Rd, Salisbury, NC 28144.

After the service, the family will meet at the residence of Tonya Williams.
