Wade Oscar Cavin Sr. passed away on June 3, 2024, at the age of 89.
He was born on April 29, 1935, in Rowan County to the late Bessie Mae Cagle and Banks Young Cavin.
He was a member of the Chapel Street Independent Baptist Church and a veteran of the US Army.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Willie Jean Love Cavin (1-15-2019).
Left to cherish his memory are his 4 sons, Wade Oscar Cavin Jr. of Fort Lawn SC, Joseph Allen Cavin (Effie Jo) of Kannapolis, Johnny Cavin of Salisbury, and Jeremy Cavin (Crystal) of Salisbury; his grandchildren Kennidi Cavin, Paige Cavin, and Zach Cavin; and his nieces Betty Lisenby and Barbara Hancock.
A visitation will be held 10:00-11:00 am on Wednesday June 12, 2024, at Chapel Street Independent Baptist Church, 805 N Chapel St., Landis, NC 28088.
A service will be at 11:00 am at Chapel Street Independent Baptist Church with Rev. Brad Jenkins officiating. A burial will follow at 1:00 pm at Salisbury National Cemetery, 501 Statesville Blvd., Salisbury, NC 28144. Military Honors will be given by the Lyerly Joint Military Volunteer Honor Guard.
