Wayne Benjamin Eagle, Sr.

Wayne Benjamin Eagle, Sr., 82, of Salisbury went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at his residence.

Born in Rowan County on August 9, 1940, he was the son of the late Eva Mae Curlee and Gilbert Glenn Eagle.

Mr. Eagle retired from the Salisbury Post. He liked old cars and loved being outdoors and working in his garden. He enjoyed helping others and loved his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Tom, Bill, Jim, and Clinton Eagle and sister, Loretta English.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 60 years, Betty Livengood Eagle, whom he married in July, 1962; sons, Wayne B. Eagle, Jr. (Melinda) of Rockwell and Gary Eagle (Melody) of Woodleaf; daughter, Mary Meismer (Mike) of Salisbury; grandchildren, Heather Wingler (Stevie), Steven Meismer (Meredith), Jessica Roseman (Tyler), Luke Eagle, Davey Fesperman, and Lauren Fesperman; great-grandchildren, Evie Wingler, Silas Wingler, Bryson Fesperman, Mkenzi Crandall, Laila Mason, and Addyson Fesperman.

Visitation: 10:00-11:00 AM Friday, November 18, 2022 at Calvary Baptist Tabernacle, 3760 Stokes Ferry Rd, Salisbury, NC 28146.

Service: 11:00 AM Friday, November 18, 2022 at Calvary Baptist Tabernacle. Burial will follow at 12:00 PM at Rowan Memorial Park, 4125 Franklin Community Center Rd, Salisbury, NC 28144.
