Mr. William Larry Waycaster Sr. “Bill” passed peacefully at his home in Salisbury, the night of February 21st, 2020 at the age of seventy-two.
Mr. Waycaster was born in Kingsport, TN on June twenty-fifth, 1947. He was the fourth of five children born to the late Raphael Nelson Waycaster and the late Dorothy Marie Waycaster. The family moved to Brandon, FL in 1958. Bill married the love of his life and wife of nearly fifty years, Mrs. Lillian Kluttz Waycaster on May 22nd, 1970 in Brandon, FL. Together they raised a family of six children Kimberly Carr Stone (Allen - Salisbury), James Kevin Carr (Eileen - Faith), William Larry Waycaster Jr (Janie - Lexington), David Keith Carr (Julie - Salisbury), Michael Aaron Waycaster (Salisbury), Melanie Waycaster Stegall (Steven - Salisbury). Mr. Waycaster was the grandfather of William Meng (Salisbury), Morgan Godwin (Andrew - Salisbury), Isabella Waycaster (Mocksville), Kristen Roach (Jamon - Welcome), Zachary Carr (Mooresville), Kayleb Carr (Faith), Annelise Carr (Faith), Abigail Carr (Faith), Dawson Carr (Salisbury). Additionally Mr Waycaster was the great-grandfather of Adleigh Roach (Welcome) and Bennett Godwin (Salisbury). Mr. Waycaster was the brother of Mr. Ned Waycaster (Wanda - Rockwell), Mrs. Neva Ashmore (Bill - Seffner, FL), Mrs. Deedee Buser (deceased), Mrs. Linda Nelson (Eddie - Plant City, FL). As well as being an uncle and great uncle to several dozen nieces and nephews.
Mr. Waycaster was a plumber by trade, employed locally by Pope Plumbing and Heating Co. and Bill Brown Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning.
Mrs. Waycaster and family will receive friends on Monday, February 24, 2020 from 3:00 pm until 4:00 PM at Haven Lutheran Church, 207 West Harrison St., Salisbury, NC. A memorial service will follow at 4:00 PM officiated by Mr. Waycaster’s granddaughter’s husband, Mr. Andrew Godwin.
