Carolyn Ebright Obituary
Carolyn Wetmore Ebright, 73, of Glade Valley, NC passed away Monday, July 2, 2018 at the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House.
Born in Rowan County on April 18, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Leitha Madora Peeler Wetmore and Clarence Heber Wetmore.
Mrs. Ebright was a graduate of West Rowan High School and worked at the VA Medical Center in Salisbury. She was formerly a member of Unity Presbyterian Church, where she was a youth leader. She was a member of Sparta Presbyterian Church and was involved in the Presbyterain Women in the Salem Presbytery. Mrs. Ebright was active in the Red Hat Society, Prayer Shawl Ministry and was a past president of Holiday Rambler #227.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Ann Means and Janie Bowers; brothers-in-law, Carl Bowers, Ralph Dameron and Joe Means, nieces, Stephanie Bowers and Melanie Means Baker.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Arthur “Art” Ebright, whom she married on October 8, 1995; daughters, Leanna Myers (Craig) of Cleveland, Kim Collins (Richard) of Faith, Kara Graham (Donald Kesler) of Salisbury; brother, Sam Wetmore (Becky) of Woodleaf; sisters, Jean Dameron of Woodleaf, Lynn Shumaker (Alex) of Woodleaf; grandchildren, Zachary (Laura) Myers, Drew Myers, Chandler Myers, Andie Myers, Baili Collins, Adison Collins, Spencer Graham, Miller Graham, Molly Graham and a host of nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Service: 1:00 PM Friday, July 6, 2018 at Unity Presbyterian Church, 885 Woodleaf Barber Rd, Cleveland, NC 27013 with the Rev. Bruce Benton officiating.
The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall following the service and at the home of Craig and Leanna Myers at other times.
