Edna (Francies) Sorrell

Edna Francies Sorrell, 92, of Salisbury passed away Monday, October 15, 2018 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.

Born in Cooper, Texas on June 3, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Myrtle Thompson and Mr. Francies.

Edna worked as a seamstress and was a member of Life Church.

In addition to his parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert L. Sorrell; son, Delbert L. Sorrell, Jr.; sisters, Rosie Butler and Birdie Elkins; brothers, Jack Francies and Fred A. Francies.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, David L. Sorrell of Georgetown, SC; daughter, Darlene Sorrell Eller of Salisbury; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation: 10:00-11:00 AM Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Rowan Memorial Park Chapel in the Pines, 4125 Franklin Community Center Rd., Salisbury, NC 28144.

Service: 11:00 AM Thursday at Rowan Memorial Park Chapel in the Pines with Pastor Gene Shelton and Scott Sorrell officiating. Burial will follow in Rowan Memorial Park.
