Jerry Reese Fisher

Jerry R. Fisher, 75, of Salisbury., NC passed away Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Magnolia Gardens in Spencer. He was born on March 24, 1943 in Rowan county to the late Allie Campbell Fisher and the late Backmon Murray Fisher.

Jerry was a graduate of South Rowan High School and was employed as an Insurance Salesman. He was a member of First Baptist church in Salisbury where he was active in the Whitehead Men’s Sunday School Class. He enjoyed restoring old tractors and cars, loved fishing and collecting knives.

In addition to his Parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Bobbie Honbarger, Peggie Thornburg and Jeanetts Pinyan.

He is survived by his daughter, Lora Tesh (Barth) of Salisbury, brother, Ron Fisher (Sally) of China Grove, sister, Joyce Christenbury of Mooresville, grandson, Chase Smith, of Granite Quarry, nephews, Patrick Christenbury of Mooresville, nieces Angie Greene and Sherry Hillard.

Visitation: 1:00 to 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at the First Baptist Church Chapel, 223 N. Fulton Street, Salisbury, NC.

Service: 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at the First Baptist Church Chapel, with the Dr. Kenneth Lance officiating.
