Joseph Delano Walser, 81, of Rockwell passed away Saturday, September 1, 2018, at Novant Health Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House in Salisbury. He was born in Rowan County to the late Ira W. Walser and the late Mary Alley Walser on November 1, 1936.
Joseph worked as a production technician for Fiber Industries and served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Joseph loved to golf, fish and loved his pets.
In addition to his parents Joseph was preceded in death by his brothers; Paul Walser and Hugh Walser, sisters; Marion Owens, Helen Coleman, Lillie Thomas, Claudia James and Laura A. Link.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Helen H. Walser whom he married in 1966, daughter, Tammy Walser of Rockwell, brothers, Al Walser (Barbara) of Faith and Wayne Walser (Vickie) of Linwood, and a special friend and caregiver Leona Chambers.
Service; Visitation will be Friday, September 7, 2018, from 1 PM – 2 PM at the Rowan Memorial Park Chapel in the Pines, 4125 Franklin Community Road, Salisbury, NC 28144, with memorial service to follow at 2 PM with the Rev. Johnny Boggs officiating. Military Honors will be conducted by the Lyerly Volunteer Honor Guard. Burial will be in the Rowan Memorial Park,
