Larry Wayne Bruton

 Larry Wayne Bruton, 71, passed away at his home in Stanfield, NC on March 28, 2018.  
 Larry was a graduate of Winecoff High School in Concord, NC and attended Appalachian State University in Boone, NC and Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, NC. 

 Larry had a diverse career in the fields of radio, tv and engineering. He was an actor, singer, rescue scuba diver, pilot, sky diver, hiker, fisherman, researcher and explorer. 

 Larry is survived by his daughter, Deborah Koontz Horne (James) of China Grove, NC and his sister, Karen Bruton of Brentwood, TN. He is also survived by grandchildren: Chelsea Upright, Travis Upright, James Ray Horne, David Horne and Grace Horne; Great grandchildren: Zoe Atwell, Emoree Horne and Isabella Underwood, all of China Grove, NC.  He is survived by his stepfather Fleet McClain, Jr of Anderson, SC.  
 He is predeceased by his father, James Turner Bruton, Jr, his mother, Ruth Elizabeth Taylor, and his great granddaughter, Paislee Horne.
