Mark Jones Obituary

Mark Steven Jones, age 61 of Salisbury, went to his heavenly home on Dec 1, 2018.

Born January 3, 1957 to Juanita Osborne Jones Guessford and Daniel West.

Mark served his country in the United States Marine Corp from 1974-1978 and retired from Akzo Nobel Chemical Plant after 34 years of service. On September 20, 1975 he married his wife of 43 years, Cathy Corl Jones.

He is also survived by children Gregory Steven Jones & wife Wendy and Shannon Leigh Jones.

Mark enjoyed remodeling, riding his motorcycle and formerly owned an auto repair business. He graduated from Rowan Cabarrus Community College with degrees in Mechanics and Criminal Justice. Mark also rode with the Veterans Patriot Guard.

Preceding Mark in death were sister Kathy Guessford, step-fathers Bill Jones and Lawrence Guessford. Surviving siblings are brothers Bryan Jones, Albert, Larry and Charles Guessford. Sisters Julie Jones Cook and Wanda Guessford Miller.
