Ray Mills, Jr., 58, of Salisbury, passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Huntersville Oaks Nursing Center.
Born in Rowan County on September 1, 1959, he was the son of the late Christine Starnes Mills and H. Ray Mills, Sr.
Ray attended Rowan County Schools and graduated from Rowan-Cabarrus Community College with a diploma in Automotive Mechanics. He worked as a self-employed auto mechanic, but has been in declining health for many years.
Ray loved his family and a host of world-wide friends.
He was loving, caring, funny and extremely well-read/self-educated. Most of all, he loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Those left to cherish his memory include his two sisters, Angela Edge (Jeff) of Huntersville and Christie Patterson (Bobby) of Clemmons. Beloved nieces and nephews are Yulia Edge, Nicholas Patterson, Alexander Patterson, Chelsea Patterson Sobolik, Alaina Patterson, Chloe Patterson, and Sasha Patterson.
A graveside service for family and friends will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, May 7, 2018, at City Memorial Park, 1310 W. Innes St., Salisbury, officiated by Rev. Benny Lowder.
