Barry Nelson Chunn

Barry Nelson Chunn, 62 of Linwood, passed away Sunday December 10, 2018 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury, NC.

 Born in Rowan County February 13, 1956, Barry was a graduate of West Davidson High School, and served in the United States Marine Corp.  Barry retired as a manufacturing manager for Clayton Home’s in White Pine Tennessee.  He was of the Baptist Faith.

Barry is the son of the late Daniel A. Myers and grandson of the late B.J. (Jack) and Edna B. Wilson of Linwood, and the late Ford M. and Lula May Chunn of Salisbury.

Barry was preceded in death by his beloved wife Linda A. Chunn on January 16, 2012 and granddaughter Cadence Taylor.

Barry was a big fan of the Carolina Tar heels and was a dedicated person with good work ethics.  Barry’s biggest joy was his family, his children and grandchildren.  Barry would say that the only thing that mattered was how his children and grandchildren seen him as a father and grandfather and the example he had set for them.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving Mother, Nellie Irene Myers of Linwood, NC. Children, April Brigman (Jeff), Ray Chunn (Jessica), Rhiannon Taylor (Cliff). Grandchildren, Kiera, Eligh, Caleb Ball, Ethan and Issac Chunn, Calton, Riley and Dakato Taylor all of Tennessee., Brothers, Mark Chunn of Linwood, NC, Brad Chunn (Crystal) of Lexington, NC., Sisters, Dannell Martin (Derek) and Patricia Jacobs (John) of Salisbury, NC.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday December 15^th at Central Baptist Church 1347 NC Hwy. 47, Lexington, NC, officiated by Pastor Jeff Purdue, Visitation at 10AM with service at 11AM.

A service in Jefferson City, Tennessee at True Life Church will be held Tuesday December 18^th at 6:00 PM with receiving of friends from 5:00-6:00 PM.
