Benjamin Alvarado-Cruz, 17, of China Grove passed away on Friday, April 9, 2021.
Born in Rowan County on June 23, 2003, he was the son of Tonya Burns Alvarado and Miguel Alvarado-Cruz.
Benjamin worked at Walmart in Kannapolis. He loved working on cars, fishing, going to the beach, and hanging out with friends.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Miguel Alvarado-Cruz and Tonya R. Alvarado of China Grove; birth mother, Gloria Beatriz Alvarado-Cruz of Dallas, TX; grandparents, Benjamin and Beatriz Alvarado of Durango, Mexico; girlfriend, Katelyn Goble of China Grove; half-brother, Karson Alvarado Sanchez of China Grove; half-sister, Dayana Gonzalez-Alvarado of Dallas, TX; Godparents, Gloria and Ignacio Delgado of Wiley, TX; aunt and uncle, Julia and Dagoberto Sanchez of Salisbury; uncle and aunt, Cruz and Patricia Alvarado of China Grove; maternal grandfather, J.T. Burns of Chickasha, OK; maternal grandmother, Judy Burns of Mercedes, TX; aunt and uncle, Patty and Scott Burns of Chickasha, OK; aunt, Kim Leatherwood of Alex, OK; aunt, Jean Keef of Chickasha, OK; several cousins and a host of friends.

Service: 4:00 PM Friday, April 16, 2021 at Calvary Baptist Tabernacle with the Rev. Dr. Steve Holshouser officiating.
