David Vickers Obituary
David Lynn Vickers, 60, of Rockwell passed away Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.
Born in Rowan County on October 11, 1958, he was the son of Lillian Ruth Briggs Vickers and the late Charles David Vickers.
A veteran of the US Army, David worked in construction for over 35 years. He loved to build things, loved fishing and Dr. Pepper, but the thing he loved the most were his three sons.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Terri D. Lefler, who passed away in August, 2018; father, Charles David Vickers; sister, Angela Vickers.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Luke Lefler (Sheena), Matt Lefler and Mark Lefler, all of Rockwell; brother, Ron Vickers (Rhonda) of Salisbury; mother, Lillian Ruth Briggs Vickers of Salisbury; sister, Pamela Bost (Jerry) of Salisbury; granddaughter, Kylee Stamper.
Service: 4:00 PM Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Grateful Heart Church, 2600 Cottage St., Salisbury, NC 28147 with the Rev. Johnny Morgan officiating.
