Doris Lee Stroud

Doris Lee Stroud, 86, of Salisbury passed away Monday March 22, 2021, at the Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.

Born March 26, 1934 in High Point, NC, she was the daughter of the late Bertha Hudspeth Dennis and the late Burley Dennis.

Doris worked as a care taker for VA patients in her home for 20 years, but was mostly a homemaker and a mom. Doris attended the Church of the Nazarene.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William Clay Stroud and daughter Sherry Dunn.  

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons; Randy Johnson of Forest City, Danny Johnson, of Salisbury and Freddie Garrett of Salisbury, daughters; Janice Crystal Johnson of Salisbury and Marilyn Jean Martin of Salisbury, 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great- grandchildren.

Visitation:  1:00-2:00 PM Saturday March 27, 2021 at the Rowan Memorial Park Chapel in the Pines, 4125 Franklin Community Center Road, Salisbury, NC  28144.

Service:  2:00 PM Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Rowan Memorial Park Chapel in the Pines with the Rev. Sy Ponds officiating. Burial will follow at Rowan Memorial Park.
