Elizabeth “Liz” Leigh Manning, 57, of Salisbury passed away peacefully in her sleep after years of failing health on Saturday, July 14, 2018.

Born in Fort Lauderdale, FL on December 20, 1960, the daughter of Louis Ernest Manning and the late Marie Kennedy Manning.

Liz attended West Rowan High School and received her Associates Degree in Childcare Development and Business Administration at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College.

Liz was known for her creative eye for decorating and fashion. She loved arts and crafts, gardening and the outdoors. Her hobbies were jewelry making, sewing, and needlework and she was very active in the Park Avenue Community.

The best times for her were when she was with her children and family. Her children were the loves of her life! She taught them sacrifice and perseverance. She was fierce and passionate in all that she did.

For years, she worked at Cone Mills and Granite Knitwear. She knew her way around the sewing machine! She was a strong, sweet and fun loving person who loved to dance and sing. She was always the life of the party!

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Those left to cherish her memory are her father, Lou Manning; daughter, Jessica Manning of Salisbury; son, Cole Nicolas of Salisbury; brother, Marty Manning of Cleveland; sisters, Leslie Masingo of Salisbury and Lou Ellen Bonfanti of Alpharetta, GA; grandchild, Rylee Shae along with numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service: 3:00 PM Saturday, August 11, 2018, at Jerusalem Baptist Church, 1570 North Long Street, Salisbury, NC 28144 with Reverend Dr. David L. Bracken officiating. A reception will follow at Park Avenue Community Center, 632 Park Ave., Salisbury, NC 28144.

Flowers may be sent to the church between 10am-2pm on the day of the service.
