Epifanio "Jess" Leano, Jr.

Our Jess went to his heavenly home on October 6, 2021 at Atrium Health Northeast in Concord. Left to cherish his memory is his high school sweetheart and wife, Linda Tomkins-Leano, daughter Elyse Leano of San Diego, California, and son Trevor Tomkins-Leano of the family home. He is also survived by his parents, Epifanio (Pepe) Leano, Sr. and Paciencia Leano, sisters, Emelita Leano and Evelyn Leano (Gerry), and brothers, Ed Leano, Ernie Leano (Lynn), Lito Leano and wife Elaine, all of San Diego, California. In addition to the immediate family, he is survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends he made along the way.

Coming from a large family, Jess loved being with them for family get-togethers and reunions- especially when all the Filipino food was to be had. He loved music of all kinds and enjoyed playing the guitar, watching movies, and taking the four-legged kids on walks. The beach and ocean water called his name whether on the East or West Coast. He loved spending time there as well as the mountains and going on hikes.

His sense of humor, kind spirit, willingness to help others, and ability to talk with anyone about something endeared him to family, friends, and his co-workers at the lab at the VA Medical Center in Salisbury, North Carolina.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the doctors and staff at Atrium Health for the incredible care and compassion shown to all of them during a difficult time.

A celebration of life service will be held on November 5, 2021 at 3:00 PM, at the Chapel of the Roses, Glen Abbey Memorial Park, 3838 Bonita Rd., Bonita, California.
