Grace (Curlee) Morgan

Grace Curlee Morgan, 91, of Salisbury passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Novant Health Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House.

Born on September 2, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Muriel Arthur Curlee and Carson Woodford Curlee.

Grace was the bookkeeper for Purcell Drug Store and was a newspaper carrier for the Salisbury Post, from which she retired. She did taxes for people and after retirement she delivered flowers for Salisbury Flower Shop. Grace was an active member in Union Lutheran Church, she loved playing cards with her niece, Karen, and the ladies of the church, she loved her books as she would sit and read for hours. Grace was the most gentle, kindest soul you could ever meet. While Grace did not have any kids of her own, she treated all of her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews like they were her own. She had so much love to give to every person she encountered, the exact definition of a woman of God, and she will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. She loved the Lord, loved to visit with family and friends, and was very invested in her bible study.

She was preceded in death by her husband Harold “Buck” Morgan; special friend Bobby Shamel; brother Carson Arthur Curlee.

Those left to cherish her memories are many nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Visitation: 1:00-1:45 PM Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at the Union Lutheran Church Dutch Hall, 4770 Bringle Ferry Rd, Salisbury, NC 28146.

Service: 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Union Lutheran Church with Pastor Heidi Punt officiating. Burial will follow at Luther’s Lutheran Church Cemetery, 4955 Richfield Rd, Richfield, NC 28137.
