Jayne (Koontz) Walton

Jayne Koontz Walton, 70, of Salisbury passed away Thursday, November 28, 2019 at the Novant Health Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House.

Born in Rowan County on June 28, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Macie Broadway Koontz and Walter Koontz.

Jayne attended Canaan Baptist Church for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Allen Walton and brother, Michael Grady Koontz.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Allen Theodore Walton (Tammy) of Salisbury; daughter, Lalia Walton Taylor (Roy) of Cleveland; brother, Wayne Koontz (Jane) of Mooresville; grandchildren, Steven Walton, Gary Walton, Kelley Walton, Jonathan Taylor and Weston Taylor.

Visitation will be held from 12:45-1:45 PM Monday, December 2, 2019 at Rowan Memorial Park Chapel in the Pines Mausoleum, 4125 Franklin Community Center Rd, Salisbury, NC 28144. Burial will follow at 2:00 PM in the Rowan Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Novant Health Foundation, 130 Mocksville Ave., Salisbury, NC 28144.
