Jerry Odell Talbert, Sr., 82, of Salisbury passed away on Friday, March 26, 2021, at the
Novant Health Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House in Salisbury.
Born in Cabarrus County on March 8, 1939, he was the son of the late James Talbert and the late Mary Hagler Talbert.
Jerry retired from Bamby Bakery and was a member of Samaritan Baptist Church. Jerry was known for his love of old cars his glowing smile and his love of his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Lina Talbert, second wife Scottie Talbert, son, Randal Talbert, grandchild, Brandi Glover.
Left to cherish his memory are his son; Jerry Talbert, Jr. (Mary) of Salisbury; daughter, Jaye Lynn “Susie” Glover of Mooresville; 2 stepdaughters, special companion Peggy Cook; grandchildren; Nikki Raymer, Heaven Lee, Josh Talbert, and Ricky Glover, Jr. 11 great-grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation: 1:00-2:00 PM Monday, March 29, 2021, at Rowan Memorial Park Chapel in the Pines, 4125 Franklin Community Center Road, Salisbury, NC 28144.
Service: 2:00 PM Monday, March 29, 2021, at Rowan Memorial Park Chapel in the Pines with Pastor Tim Crisco officiating. Burial will follow in Rowan Memorial Park Cemetery.
