JoAnn Bostian Obituary

JoAnn Mahaley Bostian, 83, of Salisbury passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at her residence.

Born in Rowan County on September 13, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Etta Talbert Mahaley and John C. Mahaley.

JoAnn attended East Spencer High School and was a homemaker. She was a lifelong member of Trading Ford Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Watts Bostian, Sr., who passed away on January 30, 2011; daughter, Rita Jo Bostian Rose, who passed away on May 8, 2019; brothers, Jim Mahaley, Jasper Mahaley, John Mahaley; sister, Frances Mahaley.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, George Bostian, Jr. (Wendy) and Robbie Bostian, both of Salisbury; daughter, Lori Jones (Brian) of Salisbury; brother, Alfred Mahaley (Edna) of Kernersville; nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, September 5, 2020 at Trading Ford Baptist Church, 3600 Long Ferry Rd., Salisbury, NC 28146 with the Rev. Mike Motley and the Rev. Richard Loman officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trading Ford Baptist Church, 3600 Long Ferry Rd., Salisbury, NC 28146.
