John William Smith, Jr.

John W. Smith Jr., 72 of Salisbury, North Carolina passed away on January 15th 2021 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.

John was born on March 27th, 1948 to the late John William Smith Sr. and Nureldin Stossel. He was a Boilermaker, Piper-fitter and Mechanical superintendent in the construction field for over 40 years.

He enjoyed riding his Harley, fishing, wood working and keeping up with friends on Facebook.

He married the love of his life Dovey Morris Smith on September 6th 1981. Left to cherish his memory is wife Dovey, daughters Ashley Smith of Kansas, Kasey Comeaux (Aaron) of Louisiana. Grandchildren, Alexander Gordon, Ethan Cowing, Ayden Kennedy, Kevin Comeaux, Hayden Comeaux, and Jordan Comeaux, Brother Joe Smith (June), several nieces and nephews. And best friend Pat Cashel. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by brothers William and Andrew Smith and his faithful dog of 10 years Muddles.

 A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday January 19, 2021 at the Rowan Memorial Park Cemetery, 4125 Franklin Community Center Road, Salisbury, NC  28144.
