Kathryn Marie (O'Neal) McDaniel

Kathryn Marie O’Neal McDaniel, 92, of Cooleemee passed away on Fri., May 21, 2021 at her residence.

Born in Davie County on November 20, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Lizzor Williams and Lonnie O’Neal.

Kathryn worked at Ervin Mills in Cooleemee and at Fiber Industries. She was a member of Woodleaf Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Grover Barnes; second husband, Bobby McDaniel, Sr.; sons, Timothy Barnes, Kenneth “Red” Barnes, Lonnie “Hammer” Barnes; Gary “Tink” Barnes; brother, Leon O’Neal; sister, Mary Frances Moody.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Bobby McDaniel, Jr. of Cooleemee; brother, Arnold O’Neal of Cooleemee; sister, Sybil Russell of Cooleemee; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation: 3:30 PM Friday, May 28, 2021 at Woodleaf Baptist Church, 7790 Woodleaf Rd, Woodleaf, NC 27054.

Memorial Service: 4:00 PM Friday, May 28, 2021 at Woodleaf Baptist Church with the Rev. Chris Williams officiating.
