Margaret (Myers) Ketchie

Margaret Myers Ketchie, 94, of Salisbury passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at her residence.

Born in Rowan County on December 25, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Norvie Lundy Eagle Myers and Marshall Myers.

Margaret graduated from Boyden High School and worked as an inspector at the NC Finishing Company. She later retired from Fiber Industries as a lab technician. Margaret was a member of the Rowan County Extension Homemakers and President of the South Side Club for many years. She loved sewing and working with ceramics.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hilton Ketchie, who passed away on August 17, 2006 and her brother, Harold Myers.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, H. Michael Ketchie and Chad Ketchie, both of Salisbury; daughters, Sherry K. Lambert and Tonya Ketchie Wilhelm (Grant Moroney), both of Salisbury; grandchildren, Tam Ketchie, Chasy Meres, Ashley Faust, and Brett Wilhelm; great-grandchildren, Michael Meres, Emily Meres, Jayden Sanders, Coralynn Wilhelm, Brooks Wilhelm, and Mark Faust.

Service: 11:00 AM Saturday, February 13, 2021 at the Rowan Memorial Park Chapel in the Pines, 4125 Franklin Community Center Rd., Salisbury, NC 28144, with the Rev. Jim Parsons officiating.
