Martha Anne Tones

Martha Anne Tones, 83, of Salisbury passed away on Thursday July 8, 2021, at her home. She was born on May 14, 1938, in Rowan County NC to the late Lilly Mae (Haynes) Sells and Henry Curtis Sells. Martha worked at several different places such as General Motors as a machinist, a toll booth operator, and then at Rowan Medical Center. She loved to sing in the church choir, worked on crafts and put together puzzles. She played games with friends and also was the loving care giver to her husband Roger. Martha preceded in death by her loving husband Roger Tones, her parents and her 4 sisters and brother. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter Cathy Lange (Karl) of West Chester PA, son Richard Gohen Jr. (Hung) of Philadelphia PA, 6 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, family and several dear friends. A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 26, 2021, at The Chapel in the Pines Rowan Memorial Park at 10:00 am with Pastor Dale Kinley to officiate the service.
