Mary Alice (Bowers) Bailey

Mary Alice Bowers Bailey, 78, of Salisbury passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House.

Born in Davie County on May 24, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Alice Turentine and Overt Bowers.

Mary was employed with Trinity Oaks Nursing Home and later worked as a caregiver and homemaker. She was a member of Sherrills Ford Road Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Vernon, Ed, and Charles Bowers.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jerry Lee Bailey of Salisbury; daughters, Sherry Kluttz (Ronnie) of Salisbury, Lisa Jefferson of Mocksville, Susan Pierce (Terry) of Jamestown; brothers, Norman Bowers of Cooleemee, Hayden Bowers (Jane) of Mocksville; sisters, Nancy Daniels of Cooleemee, Sandra Sammons (Nelson) of Mocksville, Janet Snider of Woodleaf, Ginger Eddings of Cooleemee; grandchildren, Erin Noonan (John), Joshua Moss, Stephanie McCoy, Candace McCoy, Justin Pierce, Heather Brown (Darren); step-grandchildren, Jeremy Davis (Jessica), Emily Davis; great-grandchildren, Kellan Noonan, Alex Tran, Emma Brown; step-children, Marsha Wells (Dan) of Winston-Salem, Eric Bailey of Mocksville, and Jeff Bailey of Cooleemee.

Visitation: 1:00-2:00 PM Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Sherrills Ford Road Baptist Church, 6455 Sherrills Ford Rd, Salisbury, NC 28147.

Service: 2:00 PM Saturday at Sherrills Ford Road Baptist Church with the Rev. Travis Connor and Mr. Troy Witherspoon officiating.
