Melvin Leo Felt “Hop” Webb, 74, of Salisbury passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at his residence, the 7th child of eleven. Born in Rowan County on March 5, 1947, he was the son of the late Innia Mae Bush Webb and Price Leo Felt Webb.
Mr. Webb retired from the NC Department of Transportation where he worked as a road supervisor. He loved cars and colors and was known for his cookouts. He loved his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Brunetta Edgar Webb; brothers, William Troutman, Foster Phil Webb, and Garland Eugene “Pig, Geno” Webb; sisters, Jennie Mae Webb Holmes, Elvira Elizabeth Cauthern, Rebecca Webb Kelly, and Zella-Mae Webb Green.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Cassandra Michele Webb; granddaughters Nichelle Cherry; great granddaughters and grandsons JaCoya Tarver, Siriyah Cherry, Sincere Cherry, Cashmere Cherry; grandson, Winslow Cherry, Jr.; great granddaughter Dy’Asia Cherry; daughter, Brunetta Webb; granddaughter Brandi Webb; great grandson Ray Schrader; son, Shanta “Squirrel” Webb; granddaughter Donyae Webb; grandsons Kwame Webb, Jaheim Webb; son, Melvin Leo Felt Webb Lyles; granddaughter Myayana Lyles; grandsons Tyzai Lyles, Shymek Lyles; son, Melvin Leo Felt Webb, Jr. and wife Charvette Webb; granddaughter Shakaela Webb; grandson Miles Melson Webb; sisters, Louise Webb Beatrice Cowen, Myrtle “Merle” Webb, and Willie-Mae Webb Knox.
Visitation will be held 12:30 pm Saturday January 15, 2022, at Word of Life Family Worship Center 726 East Liberty St. Salisbury NC 28144.
Funeral service to follow at 1:30 pm with Pastor Martha Starks officiating services.
Burial to be held at New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery Mocksville, NC
